Job Title: Personal Development Tutor

Position: 37 per week, term time

Location: Crewe

Salary: From £15+ph

REED Further Education are recruiting Personal Development Tutorin Crewe, to work with students in a college, to ensure their academic progress and Personal Development during their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete inductions for students to the College, to give them a feeling of community and ability to succeed
• Support students with academic/personal progress and review against targets on an individual basis
• Deliver group tutorial sessions and activities to cover key Personal Development themes including Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity and the PREVENT agenda;
• Meet with relevant managers and staff to discuss pastoral issues affecting any students giving concern and, where necessary, to refer students to more specialist services;

Requirements:

• Level 4 qualification;
• GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent);
• Excellent personal tutor, advisor or mentor skills;
• Ability to deliver effective group tutorial sessions, including those on more sensitive topics;
• Good working knowledge of target setting and review methods;
• Commitment to Safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS check.
