Personal Insurance Claims Handler

£27,000- £33,000

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for experienced Personal Injury Claims Handlers to manage a mixed portfolio of Official Injury Claims (OIC), Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and claims that are not in the portal.

Role: Personal Injury Claims Handler

Location: Surrey

Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9.00-17.30

What you will be doing:

• Proactive management approach to handle claims.
• Maintaining strong diary management.
• Ensuring your portfolio is realistically and accurately reserved in line with best practice and the earliest opportunity and referring those highlighted as exceeding authority.

• Understand when to utilise external suppliers to ensure the best outcome for the business with minimal claims spend.
• Maintain own technical knowledge through training.
• Directly reporting to the PI Claims Manager.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven capability of claims handling for both Portal and Non-Portal claims.
• Knowledge of credit hire preferable but not a requirement.
• At least 1+ years’ experience in handling Personal Injury Claims in the Motor Insurance Industry.
• Strong, decisive, and confident communicator
• Self-motivated able to prioritise and work independently.
• Driven and enthusiastic - meets or exceeds targets.
• Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
