Salary: £30,000+ (bonus) DOE
An award-winning law firm specialising in Personal Injury law is in search of a dedicated and experienced EL/PL Fee Earner to join their accomplished team in Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a successful Personal Injury team and progress within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skilfully manage a caseload of fast track EL/PL files from inception to completion, ensuring the delivery of a high level of service to clients
- Stay current with developments in Personal Injury law and employ legal research to construct compelling cases
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, offering updates on case progress and addressing their concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Assist in preparing and managing cases for litigation, including drafting legal documents, collaborating with experts, and attending court when required
- Conduct negotiations with third parties, securing optimal outcomes for clients
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, including solicitors, legal assistants, and support staff, to achieve departmental and firm-wide objectives.
Requirements:
- (Qualifications not essential) - Qualified solicitor, legal executive, or experienced fee earning paralegal with a focus on EL/PL
- Demonstrated experience in handling fast track EL/PL cases, with a proven record of successful outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at explaining complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner
- Proven ability to negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing parties
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage or assist on a busy caseload efficiently
- Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with clients who have suffered serious injuries.
