Job description

Royal Greenwich Integrated Commissioning are recruiting for a Personalised Commissioning Officer (12-month fixed term with likelihood of a permanent role for the right candidate) to join our Children’s Services workforce.

Join us to support a new vision for Commissioning in Childrens Services.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich Council and the South East London Integrated Care Board have come together to create an integrated approach to commissioning services within Greenwich. We've developed a new long-term vision with the help of residents and partner organisations, which will build on all our strengths to make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

The postholder will work as part of a motivated team of Personalised Commissioning Officers, who collectively lead the Council’s commissioning of individual packages of support for some of the borough’s most vulnerable children, including placements for children in our care. The successful candidate will source and negotiate bespoke packages of accommodation, care and support for children, working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will build collaborative relationships with social workers and with providers in the children’s care market, identifying solutions that support children to receive stable, loving care in a place that they can call home.

The right candidate will lead and manage the commissioning of individual support packages, working with children’s social workers, service leaders in social care and a range of independent and voluntary sector providers, including independent sector fostering agencies, supported accommodation and residential homes to develop relationships and secure provision that meets Greenwich’s requirements and standards.

Make a difference to our children’s futures, your future and ours. Apply today.
