The primary function of the Council’s Environmental Health service is to protect the public, the environment and groups such as consumers, businesses and workers. The Service carries out the main enforcement responsibilities of the Council and delivers a wide range of statutory functions.
The post holder will be responsible for the combined duties of a Dog Warden and Pest Control Officer, including the treatment of Public Health pests, collection/seizure of stray dogs and taking enforcement action where necessary. The Pest Control and Dog Enforcement Officer will coordinate activities across Pest Control and Dog control.
