An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our company as a self-employed Companion that will provide a high standard of domiciliary care in the Peterborough area. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person that has an empathetic and genuine caring nature. We aim to assist people so that they can remain independent and obtain a good quality of life for as long as possible within their own homes. We do not provide Personal Care.
Duties and responsibilities
Providing companionship, cleaning and dinners for ladies/couples in the Peterborough and Doddington, Cambridgeshire area.
Mondays at 16.45-18.00 (dinner preparation, serve and clear up) DODDINGTON
Tuesdays at 10.00-12.00 (cleaning) P'BORO
Tuesdays at 16.30-18.00 (dinner preparation, serve and clear up) P'BORO
Wednesdays at 17.00-18.00 (dinner preparation, serve and clear up) P'BORO
Thursdays at 10.00-12.00 (cleaning) P'BORO
Thursdays at 16.30-18.00 (dinner preparation, serve and clear up) P'BORO
Fridays at 16.30-18.00 (dinner preparation, serve and clear up) P'BORO
Saturdays at 12.00-13.00 (lunch preparation, cleaning) WHITTLESEY
Essential criteria:
- Good communication skills. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
- To be honest, reliable, punctual and adaptable to meet the service users needs
- Caring and empathetic having a genuine interest in people
- A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge base and skill set with our in-house training programme
- Common sense and the ability to remain calm and use problem solving skills if conditions or situations change
- Ability to drive with a car and a driving licence; with business car insurance
- PLEASE NOTE: All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS from the update service.
Desired criteria
- Experience and qualifications in adult social care.
