Location Overview:

The Role:

The Analyst role will involve all aspects of Pharmaceutical Equity Research, including 1) researching therapeutic categories, collating data from medical journals, medical conferences, key opinion leader (physician) calls, company reports and on marketed and R&D/pipeline products of interest; 2) Building therapeutic area and individual product models and forecasting sales of individual pharmaceutical markets and individual products of interest and assessing their value; 3) Writing up clinical data presentations from conferences and companies; 4) Writing Equity Research report on therapeutic areas, products and companies; 5) financial modelling and valuation of companies, 6) communicating with internal and external clients, 7) building relationships with corporates under coverage, etc. The demands on the analyst are sometime high and a demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure is essential

Responsibilities:

  • Researching therapeutic categories, collating data from medical journals, medical conferences, key opinion leader (physician) calls, company reports and on marketed and R&D/pipeline products of interest
  • Building therapeutic area and individual product models and forecasting sales of individual pharmaceutical markets and individual pharmaceutical products of interest and assessing their value
  • Writing up clinical data presentations from medical conferences and company presentations
  • Writing Equity Research report on therapeutic areas, products and companies;
  • Financial modelling and valuation of companies
  • Communicating with internal and external clients
  • Building relationships with corporates under coverage, etc
  • Performing research and information gathering on certain companies in the sector
  • Attending company conferences and industry event to gather data
  • Write reports/notes on companies under coverage
  • Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic, clinical, regulatory and political events
  • Contributing to industry and company research reports with both European and global research colleagues
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors’ degree in life sciences, (Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular biology, medicine) with outstanding academic qualifications.
  • Experience in assessing and valuing Pharmaceutical products and markets.
  • Experience in modelling and valuing Pharmaceutical companies
  • Experience in epidemiology and patient population modelling.
  • ACA (or other accounting qualification), CFA level 3
  • Advanced level of MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong accounting, financial modelling/financial mathematical skills are required
  • Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals
