Job description

We are seeking a services driven, store-based Pharmacist to join our Boots pharmacy team on Fore Street in stunning Fowey, Cornwall.
Fowey is a beautiful, coastal location with a very relaxed and laidback feeling. Our fantastic Boots pharmacy really is the center of the community; this high-street store offers lots of services (NHS & non NHS) including the WICS service which goes hand in hand with the new pharmacy First service allowing you to be patient-facing and really make a big impact in this embracing community.
This store currently dispenses around 800 items per week, which will rise in the summer as Fowey is a very seasonal location. This store also has incredibly high retail standards and an established and respected team.
The friendly and welcoming pharmacy team consists of an established store manager and 2 experienced pharmacy advisors.
This position comes with the opportunity to complete your independent prescribing qualification, fully funded by Boots!
Newly Qualified pharmacists are very welcome to apply for this position.
Pharmacy Opening Times for This Store are:
Monday to Saturday - 9am - 5pm
Sunday - Closed
(Although this is advertised as a full-time opportunity, part-time is always considered)
This position offers a competitive base salary, PLUS a very generous location honorarium, paid every year, and a substantial, performance-based annual bonus, as well as many other fantastic Boots benefits including our double matched Retirement Savings Plan and sizeable employee discount.

What you need: To be successful in this role you will have a professional, caring character and a true desire to help others feel good. In addition you will:

  • Be registered with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
  • Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers and external local professionals
  • Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
  • Have a love of working collaboratively with a team-centred approach
  • Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
  • Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy
