Pharmacy Dispenser

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced dispenser to join our busy team in Watford.

We only have a full time position currently available at present which will require a commitment to a full 5 days plus alternate Saturdays.

Your role will involve helping the pharmacist to deliver not only medication to our patients but also to deliver all the services that we provide to a high standards. All applicants are required to work in both the dispensary and occasionally on the counter as circumstances change as certain parts of the pharmacy can get busier than the other section.

Please do not apply if you do not have any pharmacy experience period of less than 1 year.

Responsibilities and Duties

- As part of our healthcare team you will be part of our local healthcare team, giving advice, helping with prescriptions and providing personalised solutions that help people lead healthier lives.

- Labelling and Dispensing prescriptions

- Ordering medication

- Preparation and labelling of MDS trays

- Claiming ETP scripts and end of month procedures

Qualifications and Skills

You will need to possess confidence, be a team player, quick learner, self-motivated, with good customer skills and the ability to communicate well with patients. Good IT skills will help too.

The applicants will need to be friendly and helpful to our patients many of whom are elderly and require extra help.

Applicants that require extra training of any sort in regards to day-to-day will be provided by us.

Job Type: Permanent

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Watford, Hertfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Pharmacy: 1 year (required)
