We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Thorp Arch in West Yorkshire. Which is based 30 minute from Leeds, and 5 minutes from the A1 just off Boston Spa.
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £23,383 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Checker, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for the second checking of all controlled drugs under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technician.
- Make accurate entries into controlled drug registers.
- Support and provide a timely and efficient pharmaceutical service to the prison wings.
- You will contribute to the development of and support implementation of medicine management strategy and associated services and projects
- You may be required to take on a role of working across multiple Pharmacy Services if and when required.

- Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or above/equivalent E.g. Functional skills Level 2
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision whilst following policy and procedures
