Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the technical management of medication supply and to be involved in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe & effective dispensing and distribution service whilst facilitating prompt discharges.
- As a Band 5 Technician you will be expected to cover leadership responsibilities and participate in general dispensing and Core Band 5 checking duties.
- To supervise the work of Pharmacy Technicians undergoing post qualification training.
- Accuracy checking of medications that have previously been clinically checked by a qualified pharmacist in accordance with department policy.
