The role aims to support the Pharmacist in medication management tasks. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be involved in the management of medication, date checking, stock management, ordering and checking of medical equipment, in accordance with best practice in Ireland.
Training will be provided. The candidate will be expected to work independently and report to pharmacist, area supervisor and nurse managers as needed.
It's permanent part-time, two weeks out of four Monday to Friday, two hours per day. The working hours are flexible.
Salary: negotiable DOE
Minimum requirements
- Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies or equivalent.
- 2-3 years' experience in a Pharmacy Technician role
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in the English language is a minimum requirement.
- Quality-focused and familiar with quality systems in medication management, understanding of stock management, date checking, understanding PSI requirements and the requirements of the Pharmacy Act 2007.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a team.
- Proven record of working on one's own initiative
- Be highly motivated and able to demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
