Job Summary:
As a Physician Associate, you'll play a crucial role in patient care, providing comprehensive support from initial assessment to treatment under the supervision of a GP. You'll contribute to improving patient outcomes, reducing health inequalities, and enhancing the efficiency of general practice. Mentorship and supervision will be provided, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice. Your responsibilities will include conducting consultations, examinations, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, referrals, and maintaining accurate records. You'll also collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.
You'll be a graduate with postgraduate training, capable of working autonomously within your scope of practice while knowing when to seek guidance. Your tasks will involve taking patient histories, performing physical exams, ordering and analysing tests, making diagnoses, carrying out procedures, developing care plans, providing counselling, and managing administrative tasks. Additionally, you'll assist with care home oversight and attend relevant meetings.
You'll handle inquiries professionally, maintain data systems, adapt to new procedures, adhere to quality standards, promote diversity, uphold confidentiality, engage in professional development, collaborate within the team, suggest improvements, and undertake additional duties as required.
