An exciting opportunity has arisen for pipefitters to join a rapidly evolving and vibrant company based in Preston. We are looking for time-served and apprentice-trained engineers with excellent pipe fitting skills.
The role is for one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of commercial diving equipment. They manufacture hyperbaric chambers, saturation diving systems, diver launch and recovery systems, hot water machines, diving control panels and auxiliary support systems. They also supply commercial diving equipment including Kirby Morgan diving helmets, breathing air compressors, Surface supplied diving umbilicals, underwater camera systems, underwater lighting, hydraulic underwater tools, and underwater NDT equipment.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with pipe ranging from 1/4″ to 1” OD.
- Candidates must be familiar with industry-standard compression fittings
- Experience with small bore pipe essential. Ideally ¼” – ½” Diameter
- Experience in mixed gas applications including Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen would be advantageous
- 37-degree flared fittings and hydraulic or hand-forming tools.
- Familiar with pressure ranges up to 300 Bar (4500 PSI).
- Knowledge of diverse valves, pressure regulators and gauges.
- Panel building experience would be beneficial

- Overseas work as and when required
- Overtime work as and when required
Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday 7.30 am until 5 pm
Friday 8 am until 12 pm
Travel required in line with business needs.
Wage:
Subject to experience and knowledge.
