Job Title: Pipefitter
Location: Sunderland, UK (with travel around the UK, internationally, and offshore)
Our client is expanding its team of experienced pipefitters and is currently seeking a skilled individual to join the workforce. The role will primarily be based in our Sunderland facility, but the successful candidate will also be required to travel, either individually or as part of a team, for projects of varying durations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform spool fabrication using both welding and mechanical forming techniques.
- Utilize a range of pipework installation techniques, including non-welded and welded solutions.
- Conduct pressure testing and flushing activities.
- Work in both workshop and onsite environments.
- Collaborate with the team on various projects, sometimes requiring weekend and overtime commitments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with both stainless steel and carbon steel pipework in an industrial setting.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and trustworthiness.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
- Good communication skills and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence.
Advantageous Skills:
- Forklift truck licence.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic circuits.
- Experience with pressure testing and hot oil flushing.
- Familiarity with metric compression/formed pipe work, twin ferrule pipe work, 37° flared flange, and JIC 37° flared pipe work.
