Description
- Build a basic understanding of company-wide and discipline codes, standards and working practices in order to perform basic engineering tasks in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Provide a support service as required by the Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager in the provision of quality and timely technical outputs
- Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to company-wide & discipline BOPs and WIs to act in line with standardised working practices.
- Be aware of the need for development innovation at more senior levels and begin to build an awareness of expectations in this area in order to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Understand the need for and begin to build up a basic internal relationship network in order to leverage expertise, influence decision making and satisfy requirements.
- Take accountability for their own personal Professional Development Record as part of the talent management ethos.
Profile
You should have experience, working in a craft trade/site role and an auditable level of experience and competence. This experience in the relevant sectors which should include at least 2 of the following examples;
Nuclear, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, or Thermal.
You will have extensive experience working in a craft trade/site role and an auditable level of experience and competence.
You will need a Trade specific level 3 qualification, Instructional Techniques, City & Guilds or Cert Ed or PTLLS, CTLLS or DTTLS. You will be a TDLB D32/D33 Assessor, A1 or TAQA, TDLB D34, V1 or IQA. You should have a CCNSG Safety Passport and ECITB ACIC Approval.
You should have good literary & IT skills. You should be able to work to deadlines and respond to short notice needs. Teaching/instructor experience is essential combined with experience or qualification in coaching/mentoring.
- Knowledge and application of the requirements of UK/EU (or equivalent in-country) Laws and Regulations applicable to services and products associated with Competency(s)
- Knowledge and understanding of problem solving and risk management techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of trade specific equipment and assembly.
