Pipeline TechnicianCathodic Protection
Salary starting from £40,414 dependent on qualifications and experience rising to £43,447 once fully competent in line with the competency pay matrix
Bonus + Incentives + Overtime + Standby + Van
Based at our depot in Cannon Park
 

We have an amazing opportunity for a Pipeline TechnicianCathodic Protection to join our Network Maintenance team throughout the Network.

Your role as a Pipeline TechnicianCathodic Protection is to undertake maintenance, repair and installation activities on NGN's Cathodic Protection systems and associated assets across the area. 

The role will also include the installation and commissioning of new and replacement assets in col-laboration with the Capital Projects team.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include
•Ensuring the decommissioning, installation, commissioning, validation, modification and repair work in accordance with appropriate policies, procedures and statutory requirements to produce optimum technical performance and reliability of equipment/systems in compliance with health, safety and environmental best practice
•You will prepare reports and provide information, guidance and advice to stakeholders and management and third party customers on technical matters
•Undertake or participate in plant inspection 
•Maintain accurate records of activities to satisfy Maintenance and Capital Projects, NGN, third party and legislative requirements
•Work towards all perimetry requirements and procedures affecting the NGN network
•Continually ensure a high standard of customer and stakeholder service at all times

What we are looking for
•    ICORR Level 2 as a minimum (or equivalent)
•    You will fault find on Cathodic Protection systems and repair and replace components
•    You will have experience in the taking and recording of CP readings and understanding non-compliance
•    There must be the ability to plan work efficiently and you must be able to demon-strate comprehension of engineering principles and have an ability to apply learning across different engineering disciplines 
•    You will be confident in the use of IT in the field for work reporting
•    You must be comfortable with lone working out of hours and be a self-motivated individual capable of planning your own activities with strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills
•    You will have a proactive attitude and be a strong team player whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative
•    Knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions and safety requirements
•    Hold a full UK driving licence

•    Salary starting from £40,414 dependent on qualifications and experience rising to £43,447 once fully competent in line with the competency pay matrix
