You will work in conjunction with their Development Land team, who act for landowners in Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey providing consultancy and agency advice on sites from one house through to major sites of a 1,000 homes or more.
They are looking for someone with experience of green field housing sites and who has been working for a planning consultancy or house builder.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries.
- Preparing and managing land promotion strategies.
- Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish potential develop opportunities.
- Co-ordinating and drafting planning appraisals, planning statements, appeal statements, statements of community involvement and other relevant planning reports or documentation.
- Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process, including public consultation.
- Assist in negotiations with local authorities, other statutory bodies and third parties, to reach agreement on planning matters.
- Attending site visits and client meetings
The ideal candidate
- Chartered membership / working towards Chartership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in town planning.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
- A track record of successfully delivering planning projects.
- A strong communicator.
- Full driving licence.
