SalaryI am currently working with a Local Planning Authority based in the East Midlands, actively seeking an experienced Team Leader for their Planning Policy team on an interim basis.
The council is seeking a proficient Planning Policy Team Leader to join them for a 6-month initial contract. In this role, you will play a key role in project managing officers from multiple councils. Your primary focus will involve leading the development of a comprehensive work plan and establishing work priorities to ensure the efficient execution of planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate officers from multiple councils in the execution of planning projects.
- Develop and oversee a detailed work plan to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of key objectives.
- Take charge of a stakeholder-led "place analysis" project, collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
- Analyze how the Strategic Local Plan can utilise development to address critical objectives for our towns.
The successful candidate will be tasked with leading various Planning Strategy responsibilities, including the identification and selection of strategic sites allocated within Local Plans. Additionally, you must possess a degree in Town & Country Planning or a related subject, coupled with strong communication and report-writing skills.
