Planning Transition & Technical Assistant – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract – Stratford, London – Hybrid working – Salary £28,711 (pro rata)
Reed Talent Solutions are partnering with a Public Sector client based in Stratford in London in the search for a Planning Transition & Technical Assistant to provide high-quality technical support to their Planning Policy and Decisions Team during a critical transition period.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Upload digital files and data, ensuring accuracy and organisation.
- Archive records and documents, both electronically and physically.
- Retrieve data and files for internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Maintain and assist in the development of filing systems and organisational storage systems for data and documents.
- Cross-check files and folders, updating or correcting documentation as needed.
- Respond to borough queries related to PPDT data, including planning system and network data.
- Assist in capturing, filtering, and uploading to virtual cloud drives and individual encrypted hard drives.
- Audit PPDT kit, furniture, and items, and take action as necessary.
- Produce and analyse management information, maintaining internal registers.
- Identify issues with systems and other departmental/transition processes.
- Carry out general administration functions and respond to information and data requests.
- Support the day-to-day work of the professional staff of the Planning Policy & Decisions Team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and writing skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Experience using specialist Planning Application System Software (although this isn’t essential)
- Proficient in managing records and organising files and data.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and carry out administrative duties.
- Excellent Administration experience
- Proactive approach to self-development and performance improvement.
