Plant Performance Manager
We re pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Plant Performance Manager, leading a small but busy team of controllers and specialists. The team s purpose is to monitor and maximise production capacity and operational efficiency across the UK enrichment assets, and ensure that supporting operational data systems are maintained and developed to meet the evolving needs of the business
Based at our Capenhurst site location you ll be accountable for maintaining a strategic vision and development plan for UUK Plant Performance and Manufacturing Data Systems Development activities, together with ensuring tactical delivery of identified workstreams. The work will involve tackling significant technical issues, whilst requiring leadership to help influence and shape the cultural landscape required to support more effective work practices. You will be the line Manager for the UUK Plant Performance team.

What will your day look like?
- Maintains strategic vision and development plan for UUK Plant Performance and Manufacturing Data Systems
- Accountable for tactical delivery of UUK Plant Performance activities and Manufacturing Data Systems Development
- Drives continuous improvement within Plant Performance and related areas
- Ensures UUK Plant Performance aligns with group best practice in the Plant Performance field, and UUK operational improvement initiatives
- Line Manager for UUK Plant Performance team, ensuring development and motivation for direct reports
- Prepares business cases, secures and provides cost leadership for budget to support improvements and business as usual Plant Performance activities.
- Exerts influence and fosters collaborative behaviours across diverse operational workgroups
What do you need to be great at this role?
- Degree or higher qualification in a relevant technical discipline; Process Engineering or Control & Instrumentation preferred. Ideally holding Chartered status (or working towards).
- Broad operational background in nuclear or other high-hazard process industries
- Proven history of delivering results, driving continuous improvement and leading change within an operational environment
- Ability to communicate and exert influence across all levels of the organisation
- Well-developed leadership skills (previous line management experience preferred)
- Strong IT background. Experience of MS Office, collaboration & reporting tools. ERP/MES systems experience would be beneficial (e.g. SAP ECC, MII etc)Strategic mind-set
- This role requires DV security clearance level but can start on SC security clearance.
