Job description

Full Time

40 hours - working hours between 10am–6pm on a rota basis

Closing date: 25th March 2024

Interview Date: 1st April 2024 onwards

Build our communities. See the difference you can make in our city.

At One Manchester we are on an incredible journey to shape our future. The Homes team have recently gone through a restructure, as we have refocused our energy and changed our processes so we can better support our customers and do what matters to them most. As a result, we have a number of exciting new roles which have become available.

As a Plasterer (Multi Skilled) you’ll be the friendly face of One Manchester for the people in our communities.

You’ll carry out the operational duties of an all-round multi-skilled Plasterer, including associated works, across the full range of repairs services on all One Manchester`s owned and managed properties and for external clients.

We’re looking for someone to carry out work with an ethos of ‘Right First Time’ always completing a repair where practicable in one visit, ensuring high quality workmanship and high standards of performance.

You’ll be dealing with customers face-to-face, so you’ll need to have a great level of customer service and a positive and proactive approach to your work. You’ll need to be self-sufficient and able to work independently.

You’ll be highly skilled in your area – a real expert Plasterer appropriately qualified and self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work and can work remotely with minimum supervision. You’ll have a good working knowledge of legislation relating to H&S and CDM and will be accustomed to managing your own workload and diary. As you’ll be visiting our customers throughout Manchester, you must have a full UK driving licence.

Why take up the challenge with One Manchester? This really is a great place to work. We’ve bags of potential and have huge opportunities waiting to be unlocked. Supportive and flexible, we’re rightly proud of our work and excited about the future. So, challenge yourself to be creative and ambitious and see the difference you can make in our great city.

If this sounds like you then apply today, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re constantly evolving as a business to ensure we’re supporting our customers and communities. We focus on improving our communities by offering a range of services, including employment opportunities, building new developments, and ensuring our customers have safe homes to live in.

In accordance with the aims of our Equality and Diversity strategy and organisational commitment to address the employment of underrepresented groups, One Manchester is operating 'the Rooney Rule'. This means that we aim to interview at least one ethnically diverse candidate for all roles. We will also interview at least one female candidate for all our roles within our trades and facilities teams where we experience an under representation.

One Manchester strives for equality, diversity and inclusion in all that we do. We positively encourage applications for employment from eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.

We are transitioning to a culture where agile working will be a feature of many of our roles. We also try to support and promote a culture of flexible working where possible and practical. If you are interested in a role but require flexibility or part time hours please give us a call and we can let you know if this can be considered for a particular role.
