Summary:
At the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are now looking for a Platform Engineer to join our developing Technology Team and ensure the smooth running of our Azure Cloud infrastructure and estate.
We’ll offer you £31,373 - £39,295 to ensure our systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats in this home-working position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As our Platform Engineer, you will ensure the reliable and cost-effective operation of our Azure Cloud estate and maintain Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Ensuring our systems are safe and secure, you will:
- Research and identify technical problems and develop updates and fixes
- Automate and improve development and release processes
- Work collaboratively with the Platform and Software Engineering Teams to deploy and operate our systems
- Monitor Azure Cloud, Dynamics 365 and other CQC systems
- Ensure systems and code are well-designed, monitored, developed and tested
What You Will Bring:
To be considered as our Platform Engineer, you will need:
- Experience of building automation through infrastructure as code
- Experience of Integrated Development Environment tools, software version control and Git
- Experience in maintaining Azure, .NET and Dynamics 365 systems
- Experience using scripting and coding languages, such as Terraform, YML and PowerShell
- Experience of enterprise and data integration platforms
- Experience of using CI/CD techniques
- Experience of working with DevOps, Azure DevOps tooling and Agile methodologies
- A good understanding of PaaS, SaaS, IaaS cloud services and cloud concepts
- A relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics OR equivalent experience of working in a Software Engineering, DevOps or Platform Engineering capacity
