Plating Operative

Job Title: Plating Operator

Hours: 8.30am - 5pm

Pay: £13 - £14 per hour / temporary - permanent position

Location: Hitchin

Job Description:

• Maintaining quality standards
• Jig / unjig and load / unload plant as required
• Identify record and pack components as required
• Make and record process additions and process maintenance as required
• Undertake all work in accordance with work instruction sheets and standard process procedures and operations
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
• Recognise, rectify, or report any trends in rejects and other quality issues
• Recognise and report variations on process parameters

Skills Required:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a plating department
• Experience working with Zinc and Nickel surface finishes
• Knowledge of plating plant maintenance
• Ability to work in a team / problem solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Organised
• Attention to detail
• Able to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing
