Plating Operative

Our well-known client based in Hitchin are looking for a Plating Operative to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. If you have over 2+ years’ experience within this Industry then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is a 39 hour week, Monday to Friday.

The pay for this position is £13.00 to £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Main duties as a Plating Operative:

• Jig/Un-Jig and load/unload plant as required
• Maintaining quality standards
• Identify record and pack components as required
• Make and record process additions and process maintenance as required
• Undertake all work in accordance with work instruction sheets and standard process procedures and operations
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
• Recognise, rectify, or report any trends in rejects and other quality issues
• Recognise and report variations on process parameters

Specifications for a Plating Operative:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a plating department
• Experience working with Zinc and Nickel surface finishes (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of plating plant maintenance
• Ability to work well within a team
• Good problem solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Strong organisational and methodical skills
• Strong attention to detail
