Play Worker

Based in Brambles Primary Academy, Cambridge Road, Huddersfield, We are recruiting for a highly motivated, friendly, flexible, organised person to join our After School Club. Experience of working in a childcare environment preferred.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

· Assist with planning and preparing quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment

· Comprehensive care and safeguarding of all the children

· Assist with preparing and delivering After School Club snacks ensuring hygiene standards are met

· Keeping up to date with relevant and required training

· Set up and clear away resources

· Maintain positive relationships with the children and their parents

· Monitor and maintain positive behaviour during sessions

· Undertake relevant duties as required by the Club supervisor

It is desired but not essential that you already hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service and a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate (12 hours) as well as having attended a relevant Safeguarding Children course.

After School Club working hours are 2.30pm to 5.30pm
