What will be expected from me?
The purpose of this role is to deliver social work services aligned with local and national policies and guidelines. Ensuring adequate resources for Adult Social Services within a multi-agency framework to support community members. Facilitating community living through skilled social work interventions and additional services. Providing social work support to caregivers as needed.
What will I be doing?
- You will manage a manage a workload with the support of senior colleagues in accordance with the directorate and other agency policies and procedures.
- You will provide professional assistance and guidance to colleagues within the directorate and other agencies as appropriate.
- You will maintain and develop communication and cooperation with colleagues, individuals and groups in the community and other statutory voluntary agencies.
- You will identify the needs of clients and mobilise available resources as appropriate.

Essential requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, or equivalent recognised by the Central Council for Education & Training in Social Work
- Registration with HCPC
- Knowledge of relevant policies, appropriate legislation, government guidance and best practice in all aspects of social work, including the role of the Local Authority.
- Ability to engage with service users.
