YMCA Robin Hood Group run wrap-around childcare clubs at several schools across Nottingham.

We have an opportunity for a Playleader to join our childcare team to work in our breakfast club and after-school club; working Monday to Friday, term-time only, you will work in our breakfast club 7am to 9am and after-school club working 2.45pm - 6pm.

If you love working with children but can only commit to part-time hours, this is a fantastic role for you!

We can also offer additional hours during the holidays at our school holiday club if you are looking for more hours.

On a day to day basis, you can expect your role to include:

• Working as part of a team for the successful the day-to-day running of the Wrap Around Care Provision.
• Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Breakfast and After-School Club, including setting up and clearing up.
• Supervising play opportunities with children
• Contributing towards planning and preparation of craft activities and assisting children with these
• Ensuring the children have a fun, enjoyable and exciting time when at club.
• Liaise with other staff daily to create a positive working relationship
• Deal with questions / complaints professionally
• Preparing snacks/meals for the children.

You will be an energetic, passionate individual who loves children, loves playing and creating games and activities to give them an enjoyable experience.

As part of a team, you will lead exceptional play activities, make sure they meet a high standards of play through a fun, safe and positive programme of activities.

You will have brilliant communication skills and you will have an excellent rapport with parents and carers, children, colleagues, and school staff alike.

Youll champion our Core Values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty throughout the play you deliver, and ensure the wellbeing and happiness of children is always put first.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with school age children with a strong awareness of safeguarding.

Ideally you will hold your Level 2 or 3 Early Years/Playworker Diploma and also hold a current Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates, although we can support you achieve these qualifications if required.
