About the Role: As a Playworker Trainer, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future generation of playwork professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver top-notch training and support to apprentices enrolled in their Playworker Apprenticeship program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging playworker training sessions, workshops, and practical activities, ensuring alignment with apprenticeship standards and curriculum.
- Conduct regular assessments of apprentices' knowledge, skills, and competence, offering constructive feedback and guidance to support their learning journey.
- Provide personalised support and mentoring to apprentices, addressing any learning needs or challenges they may face during their training.
- Collaborate with curriculum development teams to enhance and update training materials, resources, and assessments to meet industry needs.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance in training delivery and assessment processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor apprentices' progress and performance, tracking milestones and facilitating their transition into the workforce upon completion.
- Foster positive relationships with apprentices, employers, and stakeholders, creating a supportive learning environment.
- Complete all administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Conduct reviews and observations in the workplace, providing feedback to learners and employers to support them through to EPA.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognised qualification in playwork from level 2 or a related field (e.g., childcare, education, youth work).
- Previous experience working as a playworker or in a similar role within the childcare or education sector.
- Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent (desired).
- Assessor's award such as A1, CVA, TAQA, or equivalent (desired).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and motivating learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
- Experience in delivering training or teaching, and knowledge of apprenticeship delivery frameworks, is advantageous.
