Job Purpose
To complete day to day effective maintenance of the clients estate, to complete remedial works to plant and equipment. Be part of the directly employed labour team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance) tasks on various systems in accordance with current legislation and Defence Standards. In particular to take responsibility for L8 monitoring, recording and HSG274 compliance.
- Carry out mechanical fault finding, repairs and minor installation works, to include heating, hot and cold water services from a mechanical/plumbing aspect.
- Respond to calls from the Emergency Helpdesk, during normal working hours.
- Source, order & collect specified engineering materials as required by the task
- Prepare financial estimates for minor new works, when required
- Provide advice in areas of expertise.
- Prepare and provide documented reports and feedback as required by the task.
- Support other trades and technicians in carrying out their duties, assist in remedial work to all plant, equipment & services, where appropriate and as required.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- C&G Legionella - Combined Water Management Course (Essential or Equivalent)
- A formal mechanical/plumbing/building services trade qualification – Essential
- Experience of working to HSG274 - Essential
- Water Regulations and UVHW Certificate – Highly Desirable
- Swimming Pool water quality monitoring and management - Desirable
- Demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety in the Workplace.
- Previous experience in the mechanical/plumbing/Heating & Ventilation maintenance field, within a building services environment.

- Hold or able to obtain, MoD Clearance / DBS Check
- Willing to learn new skills and undertake additional training, when required
- Ability to work under own initiative and with limited supervision
- Versatile and willing to undertake other trade tasks (within ability) upon request.
