PMLD Teaching Assistant

The role is to start ASAP.

For this role you must:

• Have a strong academic background (degree or similar)
• Have worked with pupils before in a support/on a 1-2-1/group basis
• This roles purpose is to support PMLD pupils, giving them personal care and challenging behaviour (Nurturing Role)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working in a school - (Ideal)
• Previous Primary/SEN education experience (preferred)
• Previous PMLD experience - (Ideal)
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
• School experience is NOT needed as long you have a care background or something similar

• Location - Leeds
• Position - PMLD Teaching Assistant
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
• Full time/part-time - Full Time
• Hours - 08:30 - 3:30

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional related references
