As the PMO Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and adoption of a new Project Management framework across the business; tracking project progress, information and data flows, documentation, building processes / procedures, reporting, and ensuring the PMO supports projects across the entire business. You will support the organisation as it works towards a number of leading accreditations for the business (such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials) – providing training and documentation policy guidance to ensure consistency across the business, you will also own internal communications across departments and will maintain the company information intranet that is accessed across the company. As they are a scaling organisation (c. 100+ employees) this role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person in what is a key role to the organisation as it looks to expand on a global scale – the prospect to create impact in this role and the sphere of influence it offers are superb as it will touch across all areas of the business as it continues to expand in a Net Zero world.
We’re looking for a PMO Manager with the following skills and experience:
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience as a Project Management Office Manager or Lead, ideally with strong skills in Project Management
- Stakeholder management experience
- Effective analysis skills and ability to work in an Agile environment (user stories, backlog refinement, working with Product teams)
- Experience in project tracking, reporting, and risk management – working in both IT and non-IT projects that cross multiple departments
- Experience using SharePoint (or similar tool) to build out the company intranet and effective documentation policies
- Strong planning and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience of working autonomously and delivering on multiple objectives
- Demonstrable track record of success in securing adoption of Project Management frameworks across an organisation (large or small) and user buy-in to new policies / procedures being implemented
Desirable:
- Any Scrum / Agile certifications
- Experience in building and delivering companywide training initiatives
- Any experience with cloud project management software (such as Asana or Smartsheet)
- Experience in delivering reporting design and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
