Job title: PMO Operations Specialist _ Mandarin speaking
Location: Reading, UK
Our client, a leading telecommunications company is looking for a well-organised individual with 2-3 years experience in project management joining its team based in Reading.
This position can be based in Manchester as our client has an office in Salford.
What you will do:
- Provide timely and accurate support in project delivery review operations: communicate with senior stakeholders, organize project review meetings and prepare meeting materials, output meeting minutes, and handle e-flows.
- Undertake project cycle-related tasks such as project closure, project risk and assumption, actively seeking feedback from across projects. Build understanding and confidence in associated tools.
- Develop and document for multiple departments and use this as a mechanism to define and promote best practices.
- Financial governance activities, working with project and finance specialists to ensure the revenue compliance; Solve revenue related internal control issues.
- Train new PMs/PCMs effectively, providing training or planned training sessions as needed and creating any training materials required.
- Support the creation of monthly regional-level reports- gathering & collating input, creating report slides, arranging review meetings, etc as required.
- Support positive communication and team-working within the PMOS team, actively contributing to team meetings & supporting colleagues as required.
- Additional ad hoc support to the department as requested
The ideal candidate:
- 2 years of experience working in Project Management in a global environment.
- Proven ability to priorities workload & multi-task as needed.
- Proven experience of working collaboratively to achieve required outcomes on time to quality standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of project delivery methodologies. PMP certification is desirable but not essential.
- Evidenced track record of executing PMO compliance and assurance, with a strong governance background.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrable experience in communicating with senior stakeholders with clear written and verbal reporting skills.
- Excellent numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in MS Office suite: Outlook, MS Word with strong experience/skill in Excel & PowerPoint.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin
