About Our Client

Job Description

We are looking to recruit PMO professionals into a number of different roles currently. If you are currently working in PMO, and would relish the opportunity to join an incredible organisation which is looking to innovate, in a portfolio which is incredibly varied, there could be a role here for you!

Regardless of the type of project, or what it relates to, you can be sure that every action you take is furthering the cause of the PMO (governance, maturity, planning, RAID, stakeholder engagement etc), MO11 and the wider Met force, enabling officers to become even more efficient and effective.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in either setting up a PMO, or have been integral in a PMO function within a large organisation undergoing significant transformation.
  • Be adept at communication in all its forms - Be able to proactively identify, engage with and positively influence a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of training / coaching / developing others in PM methodology and enabling the same to appreciate the benefits of this approach to change projects.
  • Experience of managing / mitigating resistance to change in a large and complex business.
  • Ability to tailor PMO and project management techniques depending on needs and the environment.
  • Experience of working in a Portfolio Management environment, co-ordinating small to medium complexity projects; demonstrating ability to run concurrent projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to engage a diverse group of stakeholders and manage relationships across varied disciplines, with the proven confidence to negotiate, influence and provide challenge when required and report on portfolio or programme performance at a change board level if required
  • Used to operating in ambiguity.
  • Experience line-managing others.
  • A good practical knowledge of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as other document sharing/ storage systems.
