The primary focus of this position is to:

  • Develop and manage our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan and initiatives
across the Red Kite Group on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and support the implementation of our strategic direction in this area.
  • Build relationships across Red Kite and promote commitment to equality, Diversity and
inclusion initiatives amongst staff, volunteers and the wider tenant base.
  • Continually improve and promote an integrated approach to equality, Diversity and
inclusion across Red Kite.
  • Establish measures/activities to ensure that tenant and employee data plays a key role
when shaping our services.
  • Provide guidance and advice regarding matters of equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Support ongoing development of the policy and procedure framework, including where
equality, Diversity and Inclusion assessments are required.


What we need you to do:

  • To develop and maintain our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, developing the
organisation’s strategic / operational approach.
  • To work with senior leaders to deliver the Plan and integrate practices into governance,
workplace and tenant practices that enhance equality, Diversity and Inclusion throughout
the Red Kite Group.
  • To maintain and develop constructive relationships with external and internal bodies and
stakeholders.
  • To design and deliver diversity presentations, workshops, briefing and induction
materials, ensuring that the training mechanisms are sufficient and meet the needs of the
current EDI landscape, as well as to identify upcoming trends/areas of focus and ensure
necessary training is in place.
  • Develop an employee and customer facing EDI calendar of events and initiatives to
ensure visibility and representation for all.
  • To provide expert advice and guidance on existing and new policies and procedures and
support Equality Impact Assessment activity.
  • Support delivery of any Equality Impact Assessment actions.
  • To devise innovative approaches to ensure under-represented groups in the workforce
and tenant population are heard.
  • To work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to improve monitoring on
equality, Diversity and Inclusion data.
  • Analyse, interpret and summarise data, including the production of regular reports
relating to equality, Diversity and Inclusion and presenting to Red Kite Committees.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to integrate equality, Diversity and Inclusion
by assisting with policy and process development.
  • Work in collaboration on projects and activities which promotes equality, Diversity and
inclusion.
  • Provide advice, guidance and consultation to individuals and groups on equality, diversity
and Inclusion.
  • Conduct research and liaise with relevant individuals and groups on demographic trends
and best practices to enhance equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain the Red Kite Group policy and procedure framework,
  • Maintain a master list of all active policies across the business, revewing dates and
approval routes and updating policy owners when policies are due for review.
  • To administer the database of policies and procedures, archiving, storage and retention
  • To liaise with the Executive Management Team, Board and Committees to gain policy
approvals
  • To ensure that policy documents are populated with the correct information and following
approval uploaded on the Group’s ‘Knowledge Sphere’ and (where applicable) on our
website.
