Salary: c.£37,000 dependent on experience

Purpose of the role and how you will contribute:
You’ll enjoy the chance to use your expertise to help shape policy positions on a range of relevant issues. Championing arable farming interests, you’ll advise the National Crops Board and develop impactful lobbying strategies. Your role involves collaborating on NFU policies, preparing responses to government proposals, and fostering key relationships. With flexibility to drive policy areas, you'll be the face of our team, elevating our profile through expertise and enthusiasm, ultimately making a significant impact on the lives and businesses of our farming members.

To succeed in this role, you will be a strategic minded and results-oriented individual capable of managing a diverse and complex portfolio. Strong influencing skills, adept workflow management, and collaborative teamwork are essential. Demonstrating a determined focus on delivering for our members, you’ll be adaptable and able to achieve long-term strategic goals. As a skilled communicator, you’ll thrive independently and within teams and be comfortable collaborating with the NFU National Crops Board. Along with a relevant degree, you’ll have a can-do attitude, leadership experience, a clear communication style and strong negotiation skills. This high-profile position demands in-depth knowledge of UK farming, agronomy, the food industry, and expertise in policy development and advocacy.
