The role

The Policy and Innovation team contributes to the corporate objective of supporting a thriving UK economy by enhancing the UK's legal and regulatory framework and ensuring access to global markets.
This role will suit motivated individuals with a good understanding of the business environment (both UK and global) within which FPS operates. It will offer the right candidate the opportunity to make an impact on UK policy that affects financial and professional services.

The role holder will support the work of the International Regulatory Strategy Group, a joint venture between the City of London Corporation and TheCityUK.

We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:

• Educated to at least degree level (or equivalent)
• Relevant experience gained through working in financial and professional services, trade associations or Government
• Collaborative and comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to design and take forward policy proposals
• Excellent communication skills to help communicate potentially complex ideas to a range of stakeholders with maximum impact.
• Strong written and analytical skills with the ability to research and draft policy documents to a high standard
• Innovative and always searching for ways to learn and improve their work
• Knowledge and understanding of policy issues and innovation in financial and professional services both in the UK and other major global markets would be an advantage
• Right to work in the UK
