Job description

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

This role provides support across the Campaigns and Public Affairs teams, working with colleagues across the organisation to make positive change happen for people in later life who are facing financial hardship. 

The post-holder will provide support for a wide range of campaigns and Public Affairs activity, including assisting in developing and drafting email communications to both supporters and politicians, building and reviewing online campaign actions, and writing website and intranet copy. They will work with the Campaigns team to build and maintain an active network of campaigners, and with the Public Affairs team to support in producing evidence submissions and political research. 

You should have knowledge of, and interest in, politics and current affairs, and an understanding of how the UK parliament works and its purpose. You will bring excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail, and good written and verbal skills. You should also have a passion for creating policy change with and for older people on low incomes.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, which you can choose to work over five days or a 9 day fortnight.
