Account Manager – Public Affairs

Responsibilities:
- Act as day-to day contact for clients to ensure smooth running
- Take leadership and drive accounts forward
- Lead on first drafts of documents for clients and adapt writing style for different audiences accordingly, e.g. politicians, civil servants etc
- Provide advice and insight to clients
- Coach and mentor juniors
- Conduct parliamentary and policy monitoring and analysis
- Monitor client news and identify opportunities for clients to engage with stakeholders
- Own stakeholder relationship. Co-ordinate and review engagement plans, review policy and stakeholder briefing notes drafted by junior members
- Actively participate in new business pitches. Oversee research for pitches and review findings to shape the answer. Contribute to the document creation process
- Attend external networking events/ webinars directly relevant to clients
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Parliament, Government and UK political parties
- Confident with parliamentary monitoring tools such as Hansard
- A genuine interest in politics, current affairs and business
- Excellent time management and high level of attention to detail
- Strong writing and presenting skills
- Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced team
Desirable skills:
- Experience in the infrastructure, FMCG, retail, technology, energy or financial services sectors
