The Opportunity
EDF Wholesale Market Services (WMS) is a core business line within the EDF UK Customers Business that is at the centre of helping Britain achieve Net Zero. It provides industry leading wholesale market services to EDF’s supply and generation business units and to third party energy asset owners. The team operates in a broad and diverse range of market segments including residential & business supply, nuclear, renewable & thermal generation and storage & flexible energy.
We are looking for a talented Key Account Manager to join the WMS Commercial Team and help maintain and expand our presence in the UK flexibility market.

What you’ll be doing
As the Strategic Account Manager, you will take responsibility for developing and nurturing strategic customer relationships, ensuring top-quality service, and driving customer satisfaction. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to help Britain achieve net zero and grow our business in a competitive market.
You will identify and engage with key customer stakeholders to build consensus, create and execute Strategic Account plans to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty and monitor and report on account performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
As part of your role, you will support the business development efforts by identifying and pursuing opportunities for new deals within our existing accounts and regularly assess customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solution that meet those needs.
Who you are
We are looking for somebody who can help us maintain a strong presence in the UK energy market by engaging with key players and staying informed about industry trends.
You will have a track record in account management with a focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships, excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and lead cross-functional initiatives.
We’re looking for somebody with strong commercial acumen and expertise within the energy sector with the ability to help understand and articulate complex sales products and financial scenarios. You will be a strategic thinker to hypothesise potential customer pain points, expectations, and implicit needs.
