Swimming Pool Attendant / Leisure Facilities Assistant / Health Club Lifeguard who has an NPLQ Qualification, experience of life guarding, excellent customer care skills and is a professional and strong team player is required for a well-established and prestigious private members club based in South West London.

An NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) is essential

SALARY: £12.25 per hour for newly qualified lifeguards / £12.80 per hour for experienced lifeguards

LOCATION: South West London - candidates will ideally benefit from living in close proximity to the club

JOB TYPE: Casual

WORKING HOURS: Unspecified hours per week. Must be available to work regular weekday and weekend shifts

The Swimming Pool Attendant / Leisure Facilities Assistant / Health Club Lifeguard you will be required to fulfil a variety of roles within the facility throughout the working day in order to assist in the efficient and effective daily running of the facility.

DUTIES

Key responsibilities of the Swimming Pool Attendant / Leisure Facilities Assistant / Health Club Lifeguard will include:

• Deliver a friendly welcome for all members and their guests upon entering the Health Club

• Assist all members who have queries complaints or require information, in a polite, friendly and helpful manner

• Lifeguard the pool/s when required

• Assist and supervise members and their guests in their use of the facilities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times

• Ensure members, guests and staff, observe club rules and enforce them where necessary

• Maintain NPLQ qualification and attend monthly training sessions

• Set up and dismantle equipment as determined by the programme, in a proper and safe manner

• Administer first aid where suitably qualified, in accordance with Company procedures

• Comply with all operating procedures of the club and company

• Maintain a professional attitude and ensure operational procedures are adhered to

• Clock in and out via hand reader and have clear understanding of lateness disciplinary procedure

• Ensure all cashing ups are correct - shortfalls should be answered for

• Carry out regular routine inspections of pool area

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must Be NPLQ Qualified and able to commit to regular shifts

• Trustworthy and reliable

• Experience of Life Guarding ideally in a similar environment

• Experience of using booking management software is desirable but not essential

• Ability to use your own initiative

• Excellent customer care skills including respecting internal and external customers

• Excellent attention to detail

• Smart appearance

• Strong team player and good communicator

• Excellent timekeeping

• Safeguarding - training available

• Successful Enhanced DBS as part of recruitment
