Portfolio Planner
Base Location: London, United Kingdom
Working Model: Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office
Daily Rate: £400-450 per day inside IR35, depending on experience.
Contract Length: 3 months initially
Reed Professional Services is a Management Consultancy, technology services and outsourcing company specialising in IT, financial services, and associated sectors. We’re currently working with a large-scale media organization who are looking for a Portfolio Planner. The Portfolio Planner will be primarily responsible for leading the development and monitoring of the Client's Portfolio Implementation Plan as well as, engaging with the relevant stakeholders for planning purposes to drive forward future development of the plan and wider planning strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
· Build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders including senior managers, programme directors, senior leaders, and others across the Organisation.
- Facilitation of regular portfolio planning sessions with programme directors and managers, driving out planning updates to build out the planning horizon.
- Produce regular variations of the plan such as for senior Steering Groups, Operations Committee, ExCo and Board and respond to ad-hoc commissions for planning data and insight.
- Work closely with the Strategy and Transformation teams to link key portfolio milestones to benefits profiles to improve insight around milestone movements through the change control process.
Skills required for the role include:
- Extensive experience of successful portfolio planning and scheduling, in complex delivery organisations.
- Strong working knowledge of project, programme, or portfolio management software (e.g. MS Project, Project online, Monday.com).
- Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills are required in this role with the ability to effectively balance several reporting responsibilities.
- Project management qualification: Candidates will have project / programme management accreditations such as Prince2, MSP or equivalent. And ideally be Management of Portfolios qualified to practitioner level (or equivalent).
