Salary on appointment will be £20,578 per annum with an annual increment up to £20,863 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic team player with a 'can do' attitude to join the Estates and Facilities Directorate as a Post and Portering Assistant
Key duties of the role include working as part of our Post and Portering team to deliver a portering service to support the University's needs. These include:
- Supporting our key events, such as Open Days, Assessments and Graduation Ceremonies.
- Carrying single boxes to help staff who are relocating across the campus.
- Moving furniture to support major University Projects.
You will also work with the team to provide a postal counter service for our 4,000 student residents to collect their mail from, along with a delivery service of mail and parcels to the Schools and departments across our main and west campus.
You will be a good communicator with a customer focussed approach. You will also have an awareness of manual handling, health and safety and be a competent IT user. There is a requirement for some flexibility with regard to working hours to support key events and campus users.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
