SalaryTo strengthen our CP2K laboratory at Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS), we are seeking researchers for CP2K software development and user support. The position will be based in Görlitz with a full-time postdoctoral contract..
Your tasks
- Implementing CP2K development projects;
- CP2K/SIRIUS interface development and user support;
- Publishing results in academic and peer-reviewed journals;
- Presenting results at scientific meetings;
- Providing professional support for other members of the institute.
Your profile
- Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry or a related field;
- Excellent programming skills in modern Fortran (standard F90 or later, preferred) or another higher programming language (C/C++/Python);
- Good knowledge of electronic structure methods for periodic systems, preferably FLAPW;
- Experience with parallel computing paradigms (OpenMP, MPI);
- Experience in one of the following topics is a plus: tools and build systems, sparse matrix libraries, GPU programming (CUDA/HIP), implementation of k-point methods;
- Experience with Linux, Git, and related tools and with high-performance computing;
- Strong motivation to work in a collaborative environment;
- Excellent communication skills in English and in a professional context.
