- Operate cutting equipment and knives to cut and trim meat, to also process food products according to specifications
- Remove parts, such as skin and bones from carcass
- Inspect meat products for defects, bruises or blemishes and remove them along with any excess fat
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Inspect and sort products for quality and adherence to standards
- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area
- Assist with packaging and labelling of finished products
- Experience in food production or similar manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating ingredient quantities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain product quality standards
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
- Must wear PPE such as safety shoes, aprons, chain mail glove and hair nets
- Must spend time using hands to handle, control, cut and feel products
