Main Purpose of the Job

Mercury is a provider of market-leading technology solutions to the recruitment industry. Its primary product is a custom solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 which is aimed primarily at recruitment agencies and businesses within professional staffing sectors.

The role will be conducting analysis of new technology within PowerApps, the production of new software solutions leveraging the power of the Power Platform. While also ensuring that existing products are kept up to date with the latest Microsoft changes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The Power Platform Developer is responsible for the following core activities: –

  • Utilising knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform to extend the functionality of the core product offering for Individual customers, with the aim to make these extensions available to the wider customer base.
  • Ensuring the quality of solutions and their components to minimise the impact of deployment and configuration tasks.
  • A strong understanding of the native features available within the Power Platform and when it’s appropriate to use this over custom development.
  • Work closely with the Platform Development teams Software Tester to ensure that deliverables are being met.
  • Communicates back to the wider business work completed by the team via demos and sprint review meetings.
  • Ensuring all technical tasks are fully documented with steps taken to resolve issues clearly communicated within the detail of user stories and implementation notes.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Dynamics Customer Engagement applications (CRM) product experience and processes along with experience in other MS Dynamics modules.
  • Experience implementing and customizing Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 .
  • Understanding of Microsoft Power Automate, including standard connectors with Power Apps and other associated products.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills.
  • Building and configuring CRM forms, views, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Experience of working in an Agile development team to deliver projects – Ideally utilising Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience extending the Dynamics platform using JavaScript-based web resources.
  • Utilisation of Canvas Apps and Pages to extend the model-driven application of Dynamics.
  • A good understanding of solution structure within Dynamics and a working knowledge of how to modularise individual product offerings.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Power BI visualisations.
  • Any suitable Microsoft certifications around the Power Platform or Dynamics CRM.
  • Experience using Power Virtual Agents
