The role- PR Account Manager
As a PR Account Manager, you're key responsibilities will look something like the below:
Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their PR goals are exceeded.
- Oversee multiple consumer brand accounts, managing timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
Events and social media:
- Cultivate relationships with a set of key media/influencers and use these to the benefit of your clients (e.g. securing coverage, road-testing ideas, securing attendance at events and for auditing purposes)
- Understand how different social media platforms can be used to the benefit of clients
Influencer Relations:
- Identify relevant influencers to partner with for client activity and manage negotiations, briefings, budget discussions and delivery of content
- Oversee and assist with media and influencer mail-outs
Media Knowledge and Relations:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and possess a deep understanding of media landscapes.
- Craft compelling press releases and nurture relationships with key media outlets.
- Review media lists so that they're ready to sell in
Reporting and Finance:
- Provide detailed and insightful campaign reports to clients, showcasing the impact of PR efforts.
- Ensure accurate budget management and financial reporting for day to day press office and small campaigns.
Creative Thinking:
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.
- Develop creative campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
Writing and Speaking:
- Craft persuasive written content, from press releases, media alerts, case studies, client communications etc.
- Effectively communicate ideas and strategies in client meetings and presentations.
- Confidently present in front of clients, teams and prospects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR
- You are currently a PR Account Manager in a reputable agency.
- Proven experience in managing consumer brand accounts with successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in executing successful events.
- Track record of building and maintaining relationships with influencers and media contacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
