Our client is looking for a PR and media expert to lead in delivering their strategy and increase their reach and influence within the UK.
By securing relationships with key journalists and influencers, this role will educate and mobilise the public on the reality of living with spinal cord injury, and further enhance the charity's standing as the expert guiding voice for life after spinal cord injury.

Key duties include:
- Lead on the engagement plan for each of our ambassadors and influencers to increase their reach and influence.
- Lead on building relationships with key journalists and influencers so they come to the charity on all issues that affect people with spinal cord injury.
- Give strategic direction to case study creation and placement to generate and maintain interest, through timely stories relevant to lived experience and the charity's support.
- Identify and lead on reactive and proactive media opportunities where the charity could add comments to enhance strategic and campaigning aims and/or tell the story of those the charity support.
- Build PR and media knowledge and confidence across the charity, including crisis comms. Identify key spokespeople in the organisation and arrange media training.
- Be the charity's key contact for journalists.
- Monitor media coverage to build key metrics.
- Support the creation of a media forward planner for all key activities and opportunities internal and external.
