Location: Kilmarnock, KA1 1DZ.
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Contract: Full time, permanent.  We could also accommodate a 28-hour contract for the right candidate.

Accounts Assistant - About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our expanding accountancy practice in Kilmarnock. This exciting opportunity would suit a dynamic, flexible and motivated individual. Our accountancy practice provides varied and interesting work, delivering a friendly and proactive year-round service to small businesses and personal taxpayers in the local area.

Practice Accounts Assistant - Duties / Responsibilities:

•  Preparation of statutory financial statements
•  Preparation of Corporation, partnership and personal Tax Returns
•  Preparation of management accounts and cashflow forecasts
•  Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns under MTD
•  Processing of payroll and auto enrolment
•  Review of accounts preparation files
•  Company formations
•  Conducting initial client meetings
•  External client training on Quickbooks
•  Client bookkeeping

What we need from you:

Successful applicant will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within an Accountancy practice and be able to show a working knowledge of the following

•  Payroll software
•  Online booking software, especially Quickbooks
•  Accounts & Tax Production software
