The Company
Focus Independent Adult Social Work is a member led, Community Interest Company (CIC) delivering statutory social services, including safeguarding, for adults in North East Lincolnshire. Formed in 2013, we employ approximately 160 staff and work collaboratively with local charities, other social enterprises, the local Council and Health organisations to improve the well-being of local people whilst delivering an ethical and caring social work service. We are based in modern riverside offices close to the town centre and are keen to promote and support flexible working.
The Role
We have an opportunity for someone to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to play key role in the education of Social Work Apprentices, ASYE’s and Students as part of the newly developed Place Based Social Work Academy.
Whilst working for Focus, the Place Based Social Work Academy will work closely with partner organisations to ensure education for Social Work Apprentices, ASYE’s and Students is the same, no matter which organisation they work for.
The Candidate
You must be an experienced Social Work Practitioner who is pro-active and self-motivated. You will be capable of managing a high workload and be able to prioritise effectively to ensure all deadlines are met, especially around report deadlines for ASYE and Apprentice submissions. You will need to be a qualified Practice Educator.
You will need to be someone who wants to continually support the improvement of social work delivery and practice, and who is able to demonstrate your commitment and passion to embedding a culture of learning and excellence.
You will need to be confident in developing and presenting training programmes and practice learning sessions.
The role will be busy but whoever is successful will have the opportunity to make a real difference, not only to those people who you are supporting through their learning, but the knowledge that they will go on to make a difference to the lives of the people they are supporting too.
